Nick founded Triple Threat Academy (formally Musical Theatre Workshop NZ) late 2015 with the hopes to create an opportunity for passionate young performers to be able to take part in 'triple threat' Musical Theatre workshops with leading NZ industry professionals and to encourage performing arts in the youth of NZ. He holds a Diploma in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) from Whitireia Performance Centre.

He has taught Singing, Dance and Drama to children aged 4 to 18 for a number of years as well as being involved in a creative capacity (Directing/Musical Directing/Choreographing) multiple shows in NZ and overseas.


He has worked as a chaperone on both the International Tours of Annie and The Sound Of Music throughout New Zealand and abroad adding to his experience in working with young performers.


Nick still works regularly in the industry performing all over the country and most recentley took to the stage in the Showbiz Christchurch production of Sister Act in the role of Curtis Jackson following on from his performance as Eddie Souther in the Invercargill season.


Previous to this he performed in The Court Theatres production of Legally Blonde - The Musical over the summer of 2016/17,  Invercargill Musical Theatre's production of Mary Poppins in the role of Bert following his run at The Court Theatres (Christchurch) production as Alternate Bert/Park Keeper/Ensemble.

Before this Nick toured in David Ian/Andrew Lloyd Webber’s London Palladium production of The Sound of Music throughout New Zealand, China, Hong Kong and Indonesia. He appeared in over 200 performances as Swing/Ensemble covering the roles of Franz (and played), Herr Zeller, Baron Elberfeld and Admiral Von Schreiber.

Other notable theatre credits include: Tosca and Carmen (NBR NZ Opera Company); High School Musical; Sound of Music; 42nd Street and Corny Collins in the NZ Premiere of Hairspray (Wellington Musical Theatre); Matt Mulholland: Beyond Emotion (NZ International Comedy Festival); The Breakfast Club (Suit and Tie Productions); Altar Boyz (Fortune Theatre); 25th Annual Putnum Spelling Bee (Manakau Performing Arts), Comedy Cabaret (Blue Baths) and Sammy In Blood Brothers (Court Theatre). 

Nick performed for seven months as a frontman for ‘The Tuxedos’ at Rock Bottom Club (Dubai, UAE). For his role in the 25th Annual Putnum Spelling Bee with MPA, Nick won a Northern Area Performance Theatre Award for Best Leading Male in a Musical 2013.
